Overview

One day tour including Tuna auction + Toyosu wholesale tour + Sushi making experience
After hotel pick-up by our private vehicle , you will watch the tuna auction from the mezzanine or third floor, depending on the result of the lottery. At the tuna auction, you will be given a detailed explanation of how the auction works and the auction prices. For guests who have made their reservations in time, we can also conduct the draw for the mezzanine floor on their behalf (if guests are unsuccessful or have not made their reservations in time, they will be able to watch from the third floor, but the view from the third floor is not extremely inferior to the mezzanine floor).

After the auction visit, guests are taken to the wholesale area, which is generally off-limits to tourists. The itinerary includes visits to about five to seven shops, including a tuna wholesaler that is purveyor to Michelin restaurants, where guests can talk to the people inside and are allowed into the shops while touring the market.

Afterwards, the tour will take you to a tea shop on the 4th floor of the 6th district where many Michelin-starred restaurants buy sencha green tea, a greengrocer with a wasabi master who appears in the film Jiro dream of sushi, a kitchenware shop specializing in hand-made products frequented by high-end restaurants and a knife shop that has been around since the Edo period.

After the market tour, guests will return to the auction building for a sushi-making experience at a sushi restaurant run by the Toyosu Market seafood brokers. Guests will learn from the chef to make 10-12 pieces of seasonal fish in nigiri and gunkan styles, which will be served directly to the guests for breakfast.

Toyosu Market

The Toyosu Market is a large fish market located in Tokyo, Japan. It replaced the Tsukiji fish market and opened in October 2018. The market is built on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay and is almost twice the size of Tsukiji, making it the largest wholesale fish market in the world. The market consists of three main buildings: two buildings for seafood and one for fruits and vegetables. If you’re craving a hearty breakfast after seeing all the fresh seafood, drop by one of the many restaurants at the market that are open from 5am to 3pm.

• This tour will have a maximum of 9 passengers.
• Advance reservations can be made a minimum of 24 hours before departure.
• Your chauffeur may not be able to accompany you and your party to certain locations when a parking for a vehicle is not readily available on site. In such situation, your chauffeur may choose to provide you with relevant information about sites inside a vehicle, and answer any questions you may have prior to your excursion on your own.
• The quoted price on the Tours don’t include tolls, parking fees and entrance fees, and meals.
• The Tours are subject to extra charge (usually 20% of the base price) in case of early morning and late night departure and/or arrival.

Cancellation Policy

The following fees will apply to the cancellation.

• Less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time (local time): 50% of Total Price
• Less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time (local time): 100% of Total Price
